Panamik

Panamik is a great place to visit if you enjoy visiting hot springs. It is a little peaceful village located around 141.7 kilometres approximately from Leh, adjacent to Nubra Valley, at an elevation of 5,819 meters above sea level. Panamik is indeed India's last borderline settlement, located near the Indo-Tibetan frontier. The hot springs are Panamik's most popular tourist destination. Although there are several well-known hot water springs within India, such as Bakreshwar in West Bengal and Manikaran, that's the country's sole hot springs hamlet.  Panamik's hot spring water includes a lot of sulphur and is thought to have a lot of medicinal effects. Despite the fact that the water is rather hot, many visitors and locals take a bath in it since it is supposed to treat skin disorders and arthritis. Panamik hamlet is known as a natural hot water spring. Panamik Hot Water Springs, which are nestled among high mountain ranges, adjacent to the Siachen glacier, the world's highest and freezing battleground. The little but lovely settlement is located around 140 kilometres from Leh, just outside Sumur village on the way to the Siachen glacier campground. Panamik is located above Sumur hamlet and the monastery of Samstanling. Panamik's hot water springs are high in sulphur, which is beneficial to one's health. Visitors from nearby villages travel to Panamik to bathe in the hot springs, as sulphur is thought to be beneficial to those affected by obesity and muscle aches. Several areas in the hamlet have hot water gushing out from the ground. Visitors could also take a shower in the unique baths built by the locals. The village's regional mahila mandal has also organised a group and is operating a bathhouse with guestrooms. Because the temperature is too warm to dip a toe in, it is blended with cool water. Bathing is available for a small price from the females who also provide tea and coffee. They make an investment in the upkeep of the neighbourhood.
There is plenty of parking space in the bathroom. Panamik also serves as a starting point for a hike to Ensa monastery, which is home to old Buddhist artworks and literature.
