 About Trekking In Mana Village

Get ready for one of the most amazing treks and prepare your eyes to witness the most fascinating view of Mount Neelkanth, Chaukhamba peak, and the Balakun range. The initial level of the trek is not very difficult and the trek is basically on the grassland. As the trek progresses, after about 2km, the difficult part of the trek sweeps in and you have to be careful and take the help of trekking poles. It is advised that you take 2 trekking poles for the trek as it will help you in climbing steep gradients. Upon reaching the top of the ridge, you will get the first view of the Satopanth Tal, which is triangular. You will also find a small shelter made up of stones, from where the view is exquisite.

• Mana Village in Winters: The winters are dry and chilly and the village is covered with snow during this time starting from the mid of October and Mana is only accessible when Badrinath season starts.
• Mana Village in Monsoon: Monsoon season begins from July lasting till September, although the village is accessible during this time as well because the area receives comparatively less rainfall, there may be instances of road blockages and landslides.
• Mana Village in Summer: During summers the temperature is moderate and pleasant, thus the best time to visit Mana Village is between May to June.

The nearest airport to Mana village is the Jolly Grant Airport located in Dehradun at a distance of 319km. You can also go for a helicopter ride from Dehradun from the Sahastradhara helipad to Badrinath Helipad.

Mana By Train

The nearest railway station from the Mana Village is in Rishikesh at a distance of 302km and the rest of the journey can be covered by road.

Mana By Road

One can either trek from Badrinath for 3-4 km or can hire a taxi to reach the village. The passage of the National Highway connects the village to Haridwar, Meerut, and Delhi.
