Mandaphiya, located 40 kilometers from Chittorgarh, the historic city of devotion, is now known as Shri Sanwariya Dham and is second only to Shri Nathdwara among Vaishnav followers. When people visit Shri Sanwaliya Seth's Darbar, they believe that all of their wishes are granted. According to legend, in the year 1840, a milkman named Bholaram Gurjar dreamed of three holy idols buried underground in the Chapar village of Bhadsoda-Bagund; when the site was dug up, three beautiful idols of Lord Krishna were found, just as the dream had predicted. One statue was taken to Mandaphiya, another to Bhadsoda, and the third remained in Chapar, where it was discovered. All three sites were turned into temples. These three temples are within a 5-kilometer radius of one another. Sanwaliya Ji's three temples became well-known, and devotees have been flocking to them in large numbers ever since. Mandaphia Temple is known as the Sanwariya Ji Dham among these three temples.
