"Maihar Temple is one of the most famous temples of Hindus in India. In North India, the temple is commonly known as Sharda Devi, and the local people who live there called this Maihar Devi or Maa Sharda Mandir or Maihar Mata Mandir or Maihar Devi Mandir. The city of Maihar is associated with the Goddesses of Shakti which is known as Sharda Devi. it is situated on Trikut hills, and one has to climb around 1063 hilltop steps in order to visit the sculpture of Maa Sharda Devi on Lord Narsingh. Another mode of reaching this place is through the help of ropeway. This place was finally developed in 2009 which facilitates the pilgrim who visits this place with a time of short vacations or restricted with physical ailments. Besides the usual month, the very important special pooja which takes place in this temple is the festival of Navratri which is celebrated very devotionally with Maha Abhishek, Laksharchana, and Mahatmiya Parayana for long 4 days."
