It lies on the seashore coastline of the Bay of Bengal and is 65km away from the capital city i.e., Bhubaneshwar. Konark has a wide vibrant of ancient temples, traditional music, dance, and beaches. This place holds the state's most prominent & magnificent heritage sight i.e., The Sun Temple. Being as a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is one of the most prominent attractions of Odisha whole throughout the season but many international traveller come during the Konark Dance Festival which takes place every 1st of December till 5th of December which aims to pay a tribute to Sun Temple. It was started back in 1986 and witnessing it is extremely worth attending. The other very popular festival of Konark is the Chandrabhaga Mela which takes place during the Magha Saptami during the month of February. For the very first time in Chandrabhaga during winter one can enjoy the musical night with a bonfire around, offering a luxury camp with 5-star facilities under a million starry sky then it's all about the Marine Drive-Eco retreat which was started back in December 2019. From Konark, a must-visit place is Kuruma which an approximately 8km is a less explored Buddhist site place.
