Khajuraho has a group of temples. The name Khajuraho is taken from a fruit known as Khajoor. There is a mix of Hindu and Jain temples. It is one of our UNESCO World Heritage sites, after being neglected for many centuries the site was rediscovered in 1850. The temples were built in Chandela Dynasty. Khajuraho is also famous for its dance festival which is held mostly in starting of the year. The events attract lots of tourists to enjoy various dance forms. Artists perform these dance forms on the beautiful backdrop of this world-famous heritage.
