hospet

Hospet is situated in Karnataka and the district headquarters of Vinayanagra district. It is the largest and official recognised major city of Bellary District. Hospet was constructed in the year 1520 by Krishna Deva Raya. Tungabhadra Dam located in Hospet is a prominent tourist attraction. This place is well known for its historical significance and the chronological ruins of the Vijayanagara Empire. Tourist along with Hospet also visit the fort and highland town of Chitradurga. Some other tourist spots are Lotus Mahal, The Archaeological Museum of Hospet, Hazara Rama Temple, Virupaksha Temple.
