Garhmukteshwar is a heritage town which is situated in the Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh. The town is one of the holy city of India. Garmukhteshwar gets its name from the great temple of Mukteshwar Mahadeva. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Ganga. Tourists come here to enjoy the bathing fair that happens here on every Full Moon Day in Kartik month. The holy dip in the Ganges River is a favourite tourist activity here.
