Deoghar

A small town in the state of Jharkhand provides you with the classic view of Baidyanath Temple. The name of the town Deoghar means God's Home, hence the town attracts a large number of devotees from all over the country. Baidyanath Temple is very much important as it is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. Devotees can also take a dip in the holy pond Shivganga. The story of the temple is associated with Ravana from Ramayan when he was on his way to Lanka by carrying Shivling in his hand, he took a rest for some time and want to purify his hand after urination, and somehow the Shivlinga settle down on the earth.
