Badami is located in the Bagalkot District of Karnataka. It is also known as Vatapi. In ancient time Chalukyas had this place as its capital. This place is popular for cave temples which are cut out of sandstone rocks, Surrounded the Agastya Lake. There is 4 cave temple placed in which three dedicated to the divinities of Hinduism and One is dedicated to Jainism, these temples connected through stairs to each other. The first temple belongs to Nataraja, the second and third temples to Lord Vishnu and the last temple is dedicated to Lord Mahavira. Badami is one of the heritage cities of India. In Badami Serene Lake and Agastya Theertha is must visit the place. Bhootnath Temple was built in the 5th century AD, which is in front of Agastya Lake.
