Ahmednagar

Ahmednagar is one of the small towns in the state of Maharashtra which is placed on the bank of river Sina with district headquarters at Ahmednagar itself. It is 120 km from Pune and 114 km from Aurangabad. The city is established by Ahmed Nizam Shah around 500+ years back. Ahmednagar has many picturesque lakes and waterfalls. There are many religious sites so pilgrims come here particularly to visit prominent temples such as The Mohata Devi Temple, The Siddheshwar Temple, Shri Vishal Ganpati Temple, Harishchadra temple, Shivline Temple, Sant Dnyanshwar Temple. Apart from this one can visit Ahmednagar Fort, Tomb of Salabat Khan II, Mehrabad etc.
