Atal Tunnel

Atal Tunnel of Solang valley is one of the recently built attractions in Solang Valley as it attracts a lot of people due to its reason that Atal Tunnel is the world's longest highway tunnel and also this tunnel made Lahaul and Spiti more accessible, through this tunnel one can save around 4 hours to reach Sissu in Lahaul via Atal Tunnel but before the tunnel, the route used to be from Rohtang La which attracts a lot of people to directly dip in the paradise of the Himachal Pradesh beauty. It takes around 15 km in 25 minutes to reach From Solang to Atal Tunnel.

Rohtang La  

One of the high-altitude motorable passes is located near Manali and even from Solang Valley. The Rohtang pass is located 3978 m above sea level whereas Solang Valley’s height in meters is 2560m. Rohtang pass is one of the most beautiful destinations from where one can experience the transaction between mountain ranges to trans Himalayas. Rohtang pass is located only 50km from Manali it takes around 1 hour 10 minutes to reach the destination. One can now explore Rohtang pass in a better way via Atal Tunnel in Solang and easily reach Rohtang pass. 

Anjani Mahadev

Anjani Mahadev temple is a Solang Valley temple located just 2.5 km away from the Solang Valley. It is Shiv temple in Solang valley, the temple is famous for Shivling which is placed in the open and has a waterfall constantly falling on the Shivling, in winters the snowy shivling is formed due to the cold and snow. The temple gives one the best views of the nearby high mountains with the touch of holiness.

Solang Ropeway And Ski Center

The Solang valley ski resort offers the famous Gondola ride or Solang Valley Cable Car that is available to have the best views of Solang Valley, from where one can experience the magnificent view of Solang Valley and see from the top from high snow-covered mountains to the Beas river. The Gondola or Solang valley ropeway takes one from 2500m to 2898 m above sea level; it is approximately around 5 m of height gaining per second. The cost of the Solang valley ropeway is around 500 INR per individual.

Paragliding in Solang Valley

Paragliding in Solang valley is one of the best experiences one gets from the top view of Solang Valley. Zorbing in Solang Valley

One of the most thrilling and liked adventure activities for all is zorbing in Solang valley, where an individual gets inside a big ball and from a gentle slope is pushed down towards the bottom, where the person inside experiences an adrenaline rush. Zorbing is an adventure recreational activity getting popular in Solang valley. Except for the rainy season from January to May, October to December one must go for Zorbing. ATV (All-Terrain Vehicles)

ATVs or All-terrain vehicles are one of the most fun rides when it comes to the mountains, especially in Solang valley even in hard snow or on rough terrains. Sissu (approx 28.4 Km from Solang Valley)

A small town of Lahaul that is located 28.5 km away from Solang valley, Sissu is famous for its high mountains with dry and barren lands covered with snow, one of the tops visited in Sissu is the Sissu waterfall popular for its white water and amazing views. Sissu is located at 3120m (10,235 ft), for adventure lovers, a trek that starts from the Sissu is the Raja Ghepan trek at 4146 m (13602 ft) above sea level.

Beas Kund (approx 9.4 Km from Solang Valley)

One of the popular destinations and an adventure sport-related activity in Solang valley is the Beas Kund trek. Beas Kund trek is known because of the mystery that from such a small lake a big Himalayan river flows. The height of the Beas Kund is 3700 m above sea level and takes around 16 km from Dhundi, the starting point of the trek to Beas Kund. During the trekking journey, one can experience many beautiful snow-covered mountains and ranges even the Hanuman Tibba, the highest peak of the Dhauladhar range is visible from the trek.

Jogini Waterfall (approx 8.8Km from Solang Valley)

One of the beautiful waterfalls near Manali and Solang valley is the Jogini waterfall located in Vashisht village formed by a water stream that adds up to the Beas river. The waterfall can be reached by a hike from the Vashisht temple; the length of the hike is about 4 km. It is not recommended to visit the waterfall during the monsoon season. The height of the waterfall is 150 m. The hike can be completed in 1 hour with a gentle walk.

Hadimba Devi Temple (13.6 Km from Solang Valley)

One of the top attractions near Solang Valley is the Hadimba temple located in Old Manali. The local deity and the wife of Bhim from the Mahabharata who sacrificed her son (Gathothakch) for the war, and the goddess is known for her good deeds and is worshipped by the people. The temple is built in Himachali architecture and is in the middle of a forest. The temple has a lot of horns attached to the exterior as sacrificial remains as it was a part of the temple. Solang valley to Hadimba temple takes around 30 minutes to reach. 

Bhrigu Lake (approx 26.8 Km from Solang Valley)

The Bhrigu lake trek is one of the prettiest high-altitude treks in Manali near Solang valley. The trek is full of mythology related to the Rishi Bhrigu who meditated near the lake. The Bhrigu trek is 11 km long and 4235 m (13894 ft) above sea level. The adventure enthusiastic people love to explore this trek. The Bhrigu lake trek is on meadows where the tree line ends and only open grasslands are visible. The holy lake is the main attraction and the top of the trek. 

Best Time to Visit in Solang Valley

The best time to visit Solang valley varies over the interests of an individual visit Solang valley. The weather in Solang Valley for the summer season (April to June) is the best to experience the outdoor activities and places). The months of July to September are advised to avoid the heavy monsoon season in Himachal Pradesh and for uncertainty issues. How to Reach Solang Valley

Solang Valley by Air

Solang valley does not have its own airport, The nearest airport is in Bhuntar which is 61 km away and takes around 1 hour 50 minutes to reach. Bhuntar has regular flights from Delhi the distance between the two places is 411 km and the travel time is approx 1 hour 30 minutes. The cheapest flight that one can get will cost about 3800 INR.

Solang Valley by Train

The nearest railway station is in Joginder Nagar. From Joginder Nagar to Solang valley one can hire a cab to travel. The distance between the two is about 155 km which takes around 4 to 5 hours to reach the Solang valley. 

Solang Valley by Road

Solang Valley is a hill station destination. It is easy to access the place by road as it directly leads one to the Solang valley. One can travel by car or cab from Delhi to Solang Valley. The distance is around 545 km it takes ideally 13 hours to reach the Solang Valley. One can also travel in private buses with a variety of options to travel, on overnight journeys of the semi sleeper bus type which cost approximately 1000 INR for travel. One can enjoy Solang valley by bike journey and it will be more fun and adventurous.
