Located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, Mana Village is popularly known as the Last Indian Village from the border of India/Tibet and is situated on the banks of river Saraswati. Mana Village is almost 24km from the India/Tibet border which makes it the last village in India. Apart from that, it also holds religious importance among the Hindus since the Mana villages’ history dates back to the time of Mahabharata and there is a common belief that the Pandava brothers passed through this village before they went to heaven. Also, the place has a bridge made of stone called Bheema Pul, which is believed to have been made by Bheema who was one of the five Pandava brothers.
Mana Village enjoys pleasantly warm weather, attracting tourists from all over the world. During the summer season that starts from March to July, Mana has pleasant weather that is neither too cold nor too hot, fluctuating between 18℃ to 24℃. As July begins to end, the region witnesses precipitation marking the onset of monsoon with temperatures dropping to 14℃. On the other hand, winters in Mana remain extremely cold with temperatures dropping to 6℃.
The winters are dry and chilly and the village is covered with snow during this time, starting from the mid of October. Mana is only accessible when Badrinath season starts.
