One of the high-altitude motorable passes is Rohtang Pass in Himachal Pradesh and one of the most popular destinations to visit in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. The airport near Rohtang pass is in Bhuntar is 110 km away which takes around 3 hours to reach Rohtang Pass for which one hires a cab, car, or travel by bus via Manali. Bhuntar has regular flights from Delhi, the distance between the two places is 411 km and the travel time is approx 1 hour 30 minutes. The cheapest flight that one can get will cost about 3800 INR.

How to reach Rohtang Pass from Delhi by train? The nearest railway station is in Joginder Nagar for traveling to Rohtang Pass via train. From Joginder Nagar to reach Rohtang pass one can hire a cab or bus to travel. The distance between the two is about 206 km which takes around 7 hours to reach the Rohtang Pass going through national highway 3. However, it is advisable to take a train to Chandigarh and then take a bus, since Joginder Nagar is a narrow gauge and will consume too much of your time.

Rohtang Pass By Road

Rohtang Pass road is the easiest way to travel without changing to any other mode of transport. One can travel by car or cab from Delhi to Rohtang Pass. Rohtang Pass distance from Delhi is around 600 km. It takes ideally 15 hours to reach the Rohtang Pass going through the national highway 44. One can also travel in private buses with a  variety of options to travel, on overnight journeys of the semi sleeper bus type which cost approximately 1000 INR for travel that will drop one at Manali and from Manali one needs to travel to Rohtang Pass which takes 1 hour 45 minutes to reach while covering the distance of 61 km going through national highway 3. Manali to Rohtang Pass taxi fare is about 2500 INR to and from Manali. One can even travel from Chandigarh to the pass as one can easily get Himachal Pradesh buses which cost a lot less. Chandigarh to Rohtang Pass Distance is 361 km taking 10 hours to reach.
Distance Shimla to Rohtang Pass - 310 km via NH 3, it takes 10 hours while traveling from Shimla to Rohtang pass in a bus or a car but it also depends on roads as many times the roads are closed due to landslides.
