Perched at an elevation of 2285m above sea level, Mukteshwar is located in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. The name of the town Mukteshwar has been taken from the Mukteshwar Dham present here, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Mukteshwar offers a 180-degree view of the Himalayan ranges, leaving you spellbound and smitten by its charm. It is a beautiful town and it is believed that Lord Shiva fought a demon at this very spot, killed him, and then granted him salvation. The town also offers adventure activities such as trekking, hiking, and camping for thrill-seekers.
