The nearest airport to Dhanaulti is Jolly Grant Airport (DED) from there a taxi or cabs are available at reasonable rates, covering the total distance from the airport is 82 km. Jolly Grant Airport is well connected by major cities of India. Delhi to Dehradun frequent flights are available of Indigo, Vistara, and Spicejet. Direct flights from Mumbai to Delhi are available of Go First, Vistara, Indigo, Air Asia, and Spicejet.

The nearest Railway station to Dhanaulti is Dehradun Railway Station at a distance of 25km. Dehradun railway station is well connected to all major places of India. There are no direct trains from Mumbai to Dehradun but till Haridwar.

The best option for Dhanaulti is by road. The distance from Dehradun is 40 km, approx. 78 km from Haridwar and 67.5 km from Rishikesh. There are different options available like Buses(Normal / Luxury), Taxi, and Cabs. Delhi to Dhanaulti by road can be reached via NH 334 at nearly 300 km taking a time of approximately 6 hr 30 mins. The route passes through Meerut, Roorkee, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Muzaffarnagar, Dehradun.
Chandigarh to Dhanaulti by road is accessible via NH 07. Chandigarh to Dhanaulti distance is 207 km which can be covered approximately in 6 hours. The route passes through Panchkula, Shahzadpur, Nahan, Dehradun.
