At an elevation of 10,826 ft above sea level is the holy town of Badrinath, located between the Nar Narayan mountain ranges in the Kumaon region of the Himalayas, Uttarakhand. The region is famous for its Badrinath Temple which is one of the four Char Dham sites, namely Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Thus the main attraction is the Badrinath Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. People from all over the country visit the Char Dham pilgrimage sites to seek blessings from Lord Vishnu. The term Badrinath stands for Lord of Mount Badri. According to the mythology, when the Nar Narayan mountain implodes into each other then the routes taking you to Badrinath will be closed altogether and the devotees will have to move to Bhavishya Badri for worshipping. Apart from the holy temple, there are several places in Badrinath including the Tapt Kund which is a hot water spring, Vasudhara Falls, and also several beautiful places in the nearby areas that one can explore. Snow-capped mountains, spectacular views, lush greenery, and the panorama will make you fall in love with the place over and over again.
