About Askote

It is a beautiful place located in the Didihat Tehsil in the Pithoragarh District of India state Uttarakhand along with profound and enchanting forest tracts. It is known for its unique bio-system that constitutes charisma in many ways. Askote was ruled by several rulers and it has two-part i.e Malla Askote and Talla Askote. The name Askote is derived from AssiKot meaning 80 forts. It is a place of magnificent beauty and awesome waterfalls as well as famous for Askote Musk Deer Sanctuary. Apart from the famous Wildlife Sanctuary this place also has famous pilgrim places nearby.
