It is a beautiful place located in the Didihat Tehsil in the Pithoragarh District of India state Uttarakhand along with vale profound and enchanting forest tracts. It is known for its unique bio-system that constitutes charisma in many ways. Askote was ruled by several rulers and it has two-part i.e Malla Askote and Talla Askote. The name Askote is derived from AssiKot meaning 80 forts. It is a place of magnificent beauty and awesome waterfalls as well as famous for Askote Musk Deer Sanctuary. Apart from the famous Wildlife Sanctuary this place also has famous pilgrim places nearby.
It is situated at an average elevation of 1,106 m above sea level, located on the Gori Ganga- Kali river which is geographically divided. The Fertile slopes of Gurkha are situated on the front side, the Kali river, and the mountains of Nepal on its left. Askote lies between Pithoragarh to the climate of Dharchula road and is located on a ridge that borders Tibet on the north, Pithoragarh on the south, Nepal on the east, and Almora on the west.
July and August will experience the heavy rainfall experienced with temperatures varying 30°C and 17°C along with capricious rainfall and landslide but will be very gratifying on the day and chill at night. So Plan my Package will not advise visiting here during monsoon.

This Sanctuary is also known as Askot Muscat sanctuary because it was set up to protect the must deer and their habitat. Askot Muscat sanctuary is located about 4 km from Askot which is easily accessible and 54 km from Pithoragarh. This sanctuary is a paradise for wildlife, birds, and butterflies. There are also two main rivers i.e Dhauli and Ikli rivers and Gori Ganga that stretch pine, oak, and sal trees through the sanctuary. It is a stunning eye-catching sanctuary that offers a magnificent view of the famous peaks namely Chhiplakot, Naukana, Neodhura, and Najirikot, and Panchchului. It rarely explores but is one of the most breathtaking, fantastic alluring destinations to visit. One can also go for trekking to soak in the divine sanctuary along with the beautiful Himalayas range. One can also witness beautiful species like Civet Cat, Goral, Brown bear along with bird species like Pheasants, Chukarsn and reptiles like Kraits, Bison, Black eagles, etc. Timing from 8 PM to 5 PM and there’s no entry fee. The best time to visit here is between April- September where many species and flowers bloom in the greeneries beyond the imagination.

This ashram is located at the top of Narayan Nagar Hill, Dharchula with an elevation of 2734m established by Narayan Swami in 1936 which is about 136 km from Pithoragarh, 14kms from Tawaghat, and 64 km from Askot. It is a spiritual hub as well as an educational centre that also organized several social activities. Inside the temple, there has a library, meditation room, and samadhi sthal. The ashram also has the facility to accommodate 40 people but have to reserve prior and it is the best for those people who are spiritually enthusiastic and want a tranquil environment. There are also various villages that can explore and experience the life of hill village that are beautiful refreshing with the panoramic landscape. It is close in winter due to heavy snowfall i.e from December to February and the best time to visit Narayan Swami Ashram is March to November though have to be careful in the rainy season and frequent landslides But the month of August will welcome a range of flowers that can’t escape from the spellbound. The important part is there are a lot of tribal settlements in this area one can experience their different unique lifestyle.
