Mukteshwar is that you will find less crowd at this place as these activities here are not that much commercialized yet. This probably is the uniqueness of Mukteshwar. The elevation of Mukteshwar gives you a great chance to witness some of the most spectacular sunsets or sunrise in the world. Some prominent attractions in Mukteshwar with incredible legends, which the Mukteshwar Temple, the temple is 350 years old, extensively one of the historical sacred sites for Hindus. Chauli ki Jali, this location contains several religious facts. The heritage walks in Mukteshwar would take you back to the British era as there are several British Cottages built around the town plus the Indian Veterinary Research Institute has its charm. You can also visit some very offbeat destinations in Mukteshwar such as Sitla, Ramgarh, Nathuakhan, Peora if you are looking to spend time alone or away from the crowd. These are some peaceful places with absolutely pleasant weather conditions. Mukteshwar is situated at such a location that makes it very accessible to some of the most famous hill stations of Kumaon such as, Nainital, Almora, Ranikhet, Kausani, and Sattal. All these places are very nearby and not more than 2 hrs away from Mukteshwar.

Mukteshwar Mahadev Temple: The temple is situated at an elevation of 2290 m above sea level and is a beautiful temple to visit in Mukteshwar. The best thing about the temple is the location of the temple which gives an immaculate view of the mountains below.

Chauli ki Jali: Right below the temple of Mukteshwar there is a path that leads to a place called Chauli Ji Jali also very famously known as Suicide Point. The uniqueness of this place is the shapes of these rocks and the holes in between these rocks which have various local legends associated with them.

SItla: At a distance of about 5 km from Mukteshwar this small hill station is a must-visit place. The place is named after Mata Sitla Devi and has a temple dedicated to Mata Sita. It is famous for its cold weather conditions and the view of the mighty Himalayas. This place is also famous for a British Viceroy’s cottage who visited this place back in 1870 and named that cottage Sitla.

Indian Veterinary Research Institute: Now why do people visit a veterinary institute in Mukteshwar, well the answer lies in the views you get from there and the beautiful Anglo architectural design of the institute. IVRI was set up in 1891 by the British Government in Mukteshwar because at that time they needed a colder place in India where samples taken from animals can be kept.

Mukteshwar Inspection Bungalow: This Bungalow is also known as the Corbett Bungalow because Jim Corbett used to stay here when he killed a man-eater tiger in Mukteshwar. This place is also very special as it gives you a complete view of the Nanda Devi range in the backdrop.
Ramgarh: This is another small but very beautiful hill station near Mukteshwar. 

Ramgarh is well-known as the fruit belt of Uttarakhand because of the abundance and varieties of fruit available here. It is situated at an elevation of about 1730m. Many big personalities came to this place and fell in love with the environment and the atmosphere of Ramgarh, people like Rabindranath Tagore, Jawaharlal Nehru, Mahadevi Verma, etc

Bhalu Gaad Waterfall: A must-visit place in Mukteshwar is this pristine waterfall not too far from the main Mukhteshwar town. The way to this waterfall is by a very short but very interesting hike.

  •  The monsoon rains are mild in Mukteshwar, compelling it not too impossible to move about. The rain does not hinder the sightseeing experience because the condensation ratio is not that elevated. The monsoon rehabilitates Mukteshwar and give4s it a fresh lease of existence, with the lush, verdant wildernesses glaring even more wonderful in the rains. The vista is just fantastic, and the streams and waterfalls that form are a sensation to behold. Always keep in mind that there is a high risk of landslides in the monsoon.
  •  Mukteshwar in Winter (October - March) 
  • If you adore snow, you’re in for a wonderful time at Mukteshwar in winter. With the temperature dropping between 3°C to 16°C, it brings relatively cold in the hills. Recall packing reasonable warm dresses and jackets, and gloves as well. To see the extensive snow, visit during January and February. Winter is a reasonable period for couples to visit Mukteshwar.

  • The nearest airport to Mukteshwar is Pantnagar which is around 100 km away from Mukteshwar. It will take 3.5 hours to reach Mukteshwar.
  • Kathgodam(KGM) is the nearest railway station to Mukteshwar.
  • It is approximately 9 hours drive from Delhi via Ghaziabad.
  • Mukteshwar has good connectivity in terms of roads from various cities.

  • From 15 to 29 days prior to arrival: 75 % of the Total Trip Cost
  • From 0 to 14 Days prior to arrival or No Show : 100 % of the Total Trip Cost

Note: Written cancellation will accept on all working days, except Sunday, Any cancellation sent on Sunday's will be considered on next working day (Monday).

In case of any adverse weather, natural calamity, local issues or Government orders, or any unforeseen circumstances happens during the Trip, Our Team would try at their level best to execute services as per itinerary but in case of it not happening, no refund would be processed.
