Located in the premises of the enchanting Govind Wildlife Sanctuary in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, Kedarkantha is a majestic mountain peak of the Himalayas. The 11 KMs trek starts from Sankri village and leads to the summit which is at an elevation of around 4000 m above sea level. Kedarkantha peak is Lord Shiva’s resting place where he used to meditate before moving to Kailash. Witness the mythical lake Juda Ka Talab midway, which is said to be formed by the droplet fallen from Lord Shiva’s hair. This lake remains frozen in winters. After reaching the apex, the view of the marvelous peaks of the Himalayan range. One of the few treks that is open in winters, Kedarkantha is an easy grade trek and an undemanding trail makes it apt for winters and famous among trekkers.

In case of any adverse weather, natural calamity, local issues or Government orders, or any unforeseen circumstances happens during the Trip, Our Team would try at their level best to execute services as per itinerary but in case of it not happening, no refund would be processed. If in case, Trip couldn’t be started due to such unavoidable circumstances before starting of it, PlanMyPackage would issue a voucher for 100% of the amount which can be redeemed within 12 months from the voucher issuance date.

Kedarkantha is situated within Govind Wildlife Sanctuary in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand at an elevation of 12,500 ft.
Known for winter trek (December but also gives a beautiful view of the surrounding in summers.
You can carry BSNL sim works only in base camp.
Risk of wild animals is less but as it is in Govind Pashu Vihar National Park in Uttarakhand it is advisable to be with the group, the route has well marked trails the only tricky section is the ridge walk when we are near to the summit the trek is safe for all the 10 months of the year. The trek can get tricky and slippery when there is a lot of snow but this can be managed with proper gear.
