About Trekking in Kedarkantha

Kedarkantha trekking throughout the year and the best thing about this trek is that it is starts and ends in Sankari and it is easy to moderate trek. if you want to enjoy the complete natural environment through this trek visit in the winter month. It is an altitude of 12,500 ft and the distance of the trek is around 20km from Sankri to Kedarkantha. The trek is 4days long in which includes two days to climb and one day to descend. Kedarkantha is Bal-Kedar who is none other than Lord Shiva, it is said that Lord Shiva is in the location of Kedarnath, as per the local mythological stories. The locals reportedly disturbing Lord Shiva when he was roaming in Kedarkantha in his bull incarnation while hiding from Pandavas.

Kedarkantha by Train

Dehradun railway station (DDN) is the nearest railway station to Kedarkantha, after that, you can take a private taxi or bus to reach the nearest village that is Sankri. The trek to Kedarkantha starts from here.

Kedarkantha by Road

You can either drive to Sankri village or you can go to Dehradun by bus and from there you can have another bus or taxi to reach Sankri village.

Cancellation Policy: In the event of cancellation of tour / travel services due to any avoidable / unavoidable reason/s we must be notified of the same in writing to cancellations@planmypackage.com. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows :

  • Booking Amount is Non-Refundable
  • From 30 to 44 days prior to arrival: 50 % of the Total Trip Cost
  • From 15 to 29 days prior to arrival: 75 % of the Total Trip Cost
  • From 0 to 14 Days prior to arrival or No Show : 100 % of the Total Trip Cost

Note: Written cancellation will accept on all working days, except Sunday, Any cancellation sent on Sunday's will be considered on next working day (Monday).

In case of any adverse weather, natural calamity, local issues or Government orders, or any unforeseen circumstances happens during the Trip, Our Team would try at their level best to execute services as per itinerary but in case of it not happening, no refund would be processed. If in case, Trip couldn’t be started due to such unavoidable circumstances before starting of it, PlanMyPackage would issue a voucher for 100% of the amount which can be redeemed within 12 months from the voucher issuance date.
