Uttar Pradesh Government offers a subsidy of Rs 1,00,000/- to support pilgrims undergo there most important pilgrimage – Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. The subsidy is provided to every pilgrim of Uttar Pradesh who has been to Kailash Yatra by government or by any private travel agent. This subsidy can be availed once in a lifetime. It is been handled by Department of Religious Affairs, Uttar Pradesh which was established on 19th December 1985 with the aim to execute all work related to Dharmarth institutions and temples of Uttar Pradesh successfully. All temples & religious places of state come under the jurisdiction of Department of Religious Affairs, U.P.
After end of season the department verifies all the applications and sends a bill to Government for subsidy amount. Once the Bill gets passed by government the subsidy is been sent to bank accounts of all pilgrims. A function is been held by Religious Affairs department to encourage and support Pilgrims.
The Government of Rajasthan offers a subsidy of Rs 1,00,000/- to support pilgrims who go for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. The subsidy is provided to those who are citizens of Rajasthan and go for Yatra through Ministry of External Affairs. Rajasthan government has formed a special department named Devasthan Department which provides help for pilgrimages for Kailash and other holy places. The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra subsidy is provided under the scheme Assistance to devotees for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. This plan was started on 01 April 2011 with the objective to provide Rs 1,00,000/- to pilgrims from Rajasthan who complete the Kailash Mansarovar yatra by Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The scheme is limited to 100 pilgrims generally, if more than 100 then a lucky draw will happen. The grant can be availed once in a life time.
Selection process - Devotees traveling through Kailash Mansarovar's Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, will present their original documents in the office of the concerned Sub Divisional Officer / Assistant Commissioner, Devasthan within two months of the end of the journey. The presenting officer will mark the note to this effect by matching the attached documents to the original, if found correct.
The subdivision officers will forward the received applications within 15 days to the concerned Assistant Commissioner, Devasthan Department, who will issue the sanction of inquiry after 15 days.
After verification of documents the subsidy is sent online in pilgrims account through Devasthan Department. Banker check / Demand Draft will be done by Account Payee as per departmental status.
The state of Haryana offers a grant of Rs 50,000/- per pilgrim who completes Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. The scheme is named Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Scheme, 2016. The schemed was commenced on 01 April 2016. The subsidy is provided to the pilgrims who are permanent residents of Haryana, having a passport with address of Haryana and the pilgrim has to complete the yatra through Ministry of External Affairs (Government of India).
The subsidy for pilgrims of Tamil Nadu visiting Kailash Mansarovar was introduced by Late CM Jayalalitha. Earlier the subsidy was granted to only 500 pilgrims but now the grant is provided to 1000 pilgrims per year. Tamil Nadu government is now providing a grant of Rs 40,000/- to pilgrims visiting Kailash Mansarovar and Rs 10,000/- to those visiting Muktinath.
To avail the subsidy, one should be a domicile of Tamil Nadu. He should provide valid documents proving he / she has been to yatra. Documents to be presented are - Yatra bill, Visa copy, Passport, etc.
The subsidy is provided under Chief Minister’s relief fund of Tamil Nadu.
The state of Karnataka offers a subsidy of Rs 35,000/- to domicile pilgrims of Karnataka. The subsidy is offered when a pilgrim completes his / her yatra. The subsidy is provided by KARNATAKA HINDU RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS AND CHARITABLE ENDOWEMENTS DEPARTMENT.
The state is giving subsidy to encourage and support pilgrims who are completing this yatra. The subsidy can be availed once in a lifetime.
To avail the subsidy pilgrim needs to visit the website www.temples.karanataka.gov.in and fill the subsidy form available on website. Or he can visit the office of The commissioner of Religious and Charitable Endowments in Bangalore.
The government of Chhattisgarh grants a subsidy of Rs.50,000/- to the citizens of Chhattisgarh who have completed there yatra. The amount was increased from Rs. 25000/- to Rs 50,000/- on 13 August 2013. To avail this subsidy any pilgrim can contact Chhattisgarh Tourism office or go towww.visitcg.in and fill the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra subsidy form. The subsidy can be only availed once in a lifetime by any pilgrim.
The government of Gujarat gives Rs. 23,000/- as subsidy to citizens of Gujarat who complete Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The government organises a function to distribute the subsidy. The Yatra Dham Department of Gujarat Government looks after all the religious schemes of Gujarat. To avail subsidy citizens of Gujarat can visit www.yatradham.gujarat.gov.in and apply online by filling Kailash Mansarovar Yatra subsidy form.
The subsidy is granted after verification of all applicants. The subsidy gets credited in account of applicant once the bill gets approved from government.
The state of Madhya Pradesh has introduced a subsidy of Rs. 30,000/- for pilgrims of MP in the year 2006. Any citizen who completes yatra of Kailash Mansarovar through Ministry of External Affairs can avail subsidy. The motive to provide subsidy was to support pilgrims financially. The department of Religious Trust & Endowment, Government of Madhya Pradesh looks after the subsidies for pilgrimages. To apply for subsidy, visit www.religioustrust.mp.gov.in and fill the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra subsidy form online. The subsidy form should be submitted within 60 Days of completing Yatra. The subsidy can be only taken once in a lifetime.
The state government of Delhi provides subsidy of Rs 30,000/- to pilgrims who completes Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. Under the Scheme Mukhyamantri Tirth Yojana any pilgrims who are domicile of New Delhi can apply for subsidy. The subsidy can be only taken once in a lifetime.
