Yamunotri

Yamunotri is believed to be the origination of the sacred river, the Yamuna. Yamunotri is also a part of Char Dham Yatra which attracts a large number of devotees every year from various parts of the country. Yamunotri is perched at a height of 3233 meters above sea level and surrounded by the different mountain ranges which also provide beautiful panoramic views of the valley. Lakhamandal

Lakhamandal is situated 26kms away from Barkot and has a huge mythological and religious importance. It is said that Lakhamandal is a place where Duryodhana tried to kill their cousin brothers Pandavas. The palace was called Lakhsha Grah, which is made out of wax.
